Peanut allergy & asthma

I tried finding this topic in previous threads but couldn’t find any answers.

I have a peanut/tree-nut allergy that requires for me to carry an EpiPen. I also have asthma and carry a rescue inhaler, though last time I used it was maybe 5 years ago when I was in a bar full of smokers.

I run a min of 5 miles every day, outdoors, and don’t have issues through allergy seasons. Bonfires, animals, all have been fine. Although I have a a diagnosis of seasonal allergies when I was a kid.

Is this going to pose an issue with getting a third or second class medical?

My allergy is well managed I never had a reaction from 3yo to 21 yo. I drank a beer that didn’t disclose being brewed with peanuts—I did use my EpiPen and went to the ER for this.

I recently moved towns so I don’t have a PC to write a note and haven’t seen my PC in about 3.5 years and my allergist for at least 12 years. Would this cause problems too?

It should not "unless you've used it multiple times".

If you've reported it before they know. But you do need a note to that effect.

Thanks for the succinct and quick reply Doc!

Is that in regards to the rescue inhaler or EpiPen?
