The only way I know of is to use Acrobat Professional to open and save it. It's not cheap, though. If you do so a lot, perhaps buying one on eBay would be worth it.
 
You can use PDF Converter Pro, and besides allowing you to edit and create PDFs, it also has a very good conversion utility for making PDFs into editable files. I use it and am buying a copy for every computer in the office. Performs exactly as advertised, cost is a fraction of full-version Acrobat, and it is a lot more stable.
