A friend of mine who I take flying has a relative that she would like to invite along, but he has a pacemaker. The way I read into it I don't think that it should be a problem since in some cases the FAA will issue a medical, but he says the magnetos may interfere with it. I told her that if he is concerned about it he needs to call his doctor and see what he/she has to say. like I said before I wont take him flying until he speaks with his doctor but now I'm just curious so my questions is has anyone else ran into this issue with a passenger, and what kind of an issue could the magnetos cause.

no issue, he's confused. Yes, EMI can be a problem on some vehicles. For example people with pacemakers should not go inside the high voltage cabinet of a moving locomotive. Magnetos aren't even rounding error in that equation.
