P337 down in Santa Paula

Just after 3 local time a P337G was found on a mountain side just south of Santa Paula. The plane was listed for sale recently and a friend who works at the airport has told me the plane has sat for a while coming out every now and again to do a high speed pass down the runway and taxi'd back to the hangar. The only person on board was found dead.

Do you mean high speed taxi, of was he actually taking off and doing low passes down the runway?

No, just powering up and never leaving the ground, stopping before the end of the runway. His own listing for the plane states the plane has been hangared in Santa Paula for 25 years even though the registration comes back as Alaska. The tail number is N4CU.
