Pre-takeoff checklist
This had been on my list of to-do's - get a PLB, but originally not for flying. As a diver, and doing a majority of dives as drift dives here in Florida, a PLB is just a sound backup plan. But with recently acquiring my PPL, there seems to be another good excuse to finally go on and get one. So I found a good deal on the ACR ARTEX PLB1 for $265 shipped. Also have a small PLB Cannister (Dive Cannister rated to 590') inbound from the UK so I can use it diving too. Hopefully never have to deploy, but definitely makes me feel my chances are better in case I do.
