Anyone else an outright or closet fan of these goof-balls in Ohio?

http://ohiobushplanes.com/videos.html

My wife laughed out loud at the "You Gotta Have Phat Tires" video. My dad thinks they're fun to watch, too. My favorite is "Pioneering"...

Some are now marked "Private" and you have to log into Vimeo... too bad. They also sell DVD's... and hats 'n' stuff...

(Everyone here seemed to like the Valdez STOL competition link so much, I started digging through my other links on "nutty airplane stuff" and thought I'd share this one too.)

Yup. Those are fun.

http://www.youtube.com/user/taildrgfun#p/u - check out the deadstick takeoff.

Yeah, I'd seen the deadstick takeoff one before, but always like watching it again... energy management...

I had heard that he'd taken it down for a while because that was all on BLM land it was freaking the BLM out that people might figure out where he did it, and they'd have a "rash" of pilots trying it and hurting themselves... I guess they've gotten over it, 'cause it looks like not only is his video back up on YouTube, but he's also selling DVD's...

On my first grass strip tour, I stopped and stayed with one of those guys (John Graham with the Scout)...loved my flight with him over that part of Ohio. We landed at a bunch of grass strips that day. It was a HOOT! Made me wonder why there aren't any songs written about eastern Ohio...what a beautiful place. I just wish there were fun people like that in my neck of the woods.

I have watched most of them. I would love you hang out with John and his friends for a few days.
