A coffee shortage? This is bad, very bad! I think the world may just stop turning… https://www.foodandwine.com/white-house-chef-says-coffee-will-be-scarce-science-6890269
Hmm, maybe it’s time to buy a DC-3, hang a couple of maxed-out turbines on it and put some compartments under the floor. I’ll be the Han frickin’ Solo of the coffee industry.
Same here. I stay away from addictive substances. I don't need anything to ''get me going in the morning''. Or any other time of the day.
Clever marketing ... announce a coming shortage so consumers flock to buy all they can at an elevated price ...
Well, if you're getting your beans from Columbia, you can probably cover 2 industries with one trip, lol.
I've never had coffee. When I was a kid, someone said "it's an acquired taste", which translated to me like a PITA, so I never did it. Same with Scotch. Tea, Pepsi or whatever else with caffeine in it? Yep. I don't get the dew, though. Looks too much like anti-freeze to me.
Same with cigarettes. My dad told me that I should try it and see if I liked it. One inhaled drag and it was clear to me that I didn't, and I never smoked a cigarette either. I like the smell of coffee and even like the taste in some foods, but cigarette smell and cigarette smoke always evoke an avoidance response for me.
