So, what exactly is the TBO on an O-470R engine? I have one book from the Cessna Pilot Association that states TBO is 1500 hours, while I've seen other references to 1800 hours. What gets the TBO up to 1800?

Thanks, Tim. I didn't even think of searching SIL's. DUH

Laurie,

Are you airplane-shopping? :goofy:

FWIW, the O-470-R in our 182 is 500+ over TBO and running like it's brand new. We're getting compressions and oil analysis done every oil change. Oil analysis shows normal, compressions are generally all at 74/80 or better!

Hey Cheezypoof!

Starting the process......the very long process of airplane shopping. It takes me a year to buy a purse for cripe sake.
