I thought one of the network morning shows had them on as an 'exclusive' this past week. Maybe exclusive doesn't have the same meaning for them as it does for the rest of us.

The pilot explained that in addition to the loss of power on one engine, they were unable to feather that prop and the gear was down at the time of failure. I'd say he did a heck of a job just preventing a VMC rollover and the selecting of a relatively clear crash zone was just plain awesome piloting (or luck).
I bet most people on this board would love to have dc-3 take off over there house.
