Now what didn't you understand about wearing your seat belt when seated?

During one of my first flight lessons we hit some turbulence and my instructor hit his head on the cabin ceiling so hard it busted the headline. We had our seat belts on, but apparently his wasn't tight enough. This was before I had really accomplished landings. I am glad he didn't get knocked out.

I always keep mine on except when getting up to go to the lavatory.

Hum, that should have what 3 lav's? I'm not sure how 9 people were using 3 lavs... I think more then a few were in their seats not wearing a seatbelt. This article just illustrates why that's a good idea.

I sometime go stand up by the stewardesses "kitchen"

Sounds like mountain wave turbulance. Right location for it.

"The pilots came on the intercom "and said they were flying manually and that the computer had been knocked out," said the Ontario nurse."

Flying manually?? :hairraise: Oh no! Those scary words are enough to cause most non-pilot (or non-common sense) passengers to drop a load.

"...the autopilot malfunctioned" That's a new name for the autopilot disengaging during CAT.

SUE!
