My brother was playing around last night trying to buy the most expensive Mac possible. I figured with the introduction of the new Mac Pro today, I could configure a REALLY expensive Mac system. So here it is:

Mac Pro 8-core
Dual 2.93GHz quad-core Intel Xeon Nehalem processors
"TurboBoost" dynamic performance, up to 3.33GHz on this system
8MB L3 cache per processor
1066MHz bus
32 GB RAM
RAID card
FOUR 1-Terabyte 7200-rpm drives capable of 3Gb/sec
Dual NVidia GeForce GT 120 video cards with 512MB VRAM, driving
Dual 30" LCD Apple Cinema Displays
Dual 18x double-layer DVD burners
Wireless keyboard and mouse
Dual Gigabit Ethernet
802.11n "Extreme" WiFi
BlueTooth 2.1+EDR
Four FireWire 800 ports
6 total USB 2.0 ports
TOSLINK digital optical audio in and out as well as analog audio in and out
Quad-channel 4Gb Fibre Channel card
Xsan 2
AppleCare protection plan

Total tab: $19,895 plus tax. :D (Okay, I'll admit it: That's one expensive Mac!)

Now who wants to buy me one? ;)

I think you're 32GB of RAM short.

And then you need to go aftermarket and put in Blu-Ray DVD burners, 4gb fiberchannel HBA cards to connect to the external fiberchannel RAID array....

Yawn. I do this stuff all day long for a day job.

4gb?! Thing big! 10GB! :)

(40Gb would just be being greedy.)
