KLNS - Lancaster Airport - Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Saturday, November 20th, Noon

This month is a laid back lunch run to Lancaster, PA. A noon lunch break gathering at Fiorentino's to hangar fly and recap our Windwood Resort Fly-In, followed by a mandatory stroll through the AirWays pilot shop.

I'd love to! That's where I learned to fly. Flew in last week Friday (nice approach to near mins) and had lunch at Fiorentinos! I love their meatball sandwiches.

I may try to fly the Chief out (cowling should be refinished by then!) -- otherwise, Janet and I may drive out. I'll sign up closer to the date!

How about a visit to the Tower after lunch?

I hear the LNS Tower is pretty friendly.
 
We'd need to start coordinating it now in the event they need to do any checkups on ya'll looney-birds :)goofy:).

Shoot Rob, I was going to give you back your grillin' tools. Anyone else coming from your neck of the woods? Or maybe I will just drop them off when flying next time.
 
I'm hoping to get to fly an XC out that way to York or something soon,... I'll stop in at Donegle Springs and meet you sometime.
 
Mary and I have been wanting to do some dog rescue flights and there is a possible dog rescue flight from KJNK up to KFDK.......

Just got word the leg is filled......we are still on for LNS

Man I would love to go...winds are gonna kick up with G-25-32kts, not for me :-( Also, Gary, I think the ARF flight will not go tomorrow since so many legs are not filled as of tonight

I wish I could have made it, I was really looking forward to my first "go get some lunch" flight as a private pilot...would've had to deal with some very marginal VFR and high winds, decided it's not worth it.

Next time!

Good decision.....it was ugly haze/muck out there today. I had a 20+knot headwind from Wings (95-105 knots)to lancaster but on the flip side saw 132knots gound speed going home!

Vince will have some pictures up soon...I'll repost here.
