Died of injuries sustained in bicycling accident.
Last of Gran Prix level motorcycle racers from USA. A real gentleman.
So young, so sad. RIP

When they said "that bike is going to kill you"
I don't think they were talking about his bicycle"

Sad to hear. Had an amazing career.

Bummer. I've been following that as well.

He was why I wanted an rc51 when I was 18.

I talk with a drawl, though not a Kentucky drawl, but still figured I was an rc51 away from winning a superbike championship.

Dude could ride.

Bummer...on a bicycle no less...

Reminds me of Ronnie Smith from the UK. Did 120 average on the TT circuit, then died on a scooter.

I got to ride dirt bikes with him at an American Supercamp (flat track school); it was great, a dream come true. Josh Hayes was there as a student, Nicky was an instructor. Nicky gave me some road racing advice, it was fantastic.

I feel terrible for the whole Hayden family. They seem tight-knit, and good people.
