This evening I went flying with my mom. It was the first time I took her in my dad's Mooney M20E. We flew from T67 (Hicks) to KGDJ (Granbury). I already reserved a courtesy car out of their three courtesy cars and drove to Granbury square and ate some food. About a mile away is a German restruant, Fuzzy Tacos, Babes, and some pizza place. At least those were all I noticed. Their gas is also cheaper than most at $3.51. Also if you want to fly ifr or are training for ir, they have a nice vor/dme approach to runway 14.

It was a short but fun flight. On the way back we got to see the TCU stadium and downtown Fort Worth from the sky. Thirty minutes after landing, it started to rain with lots of lightning. When I checked the weather earlier, it was suppose to be much further North.

Anyways, for anyone looking for a nice place to fly for either food or a nice town to walk around in, I would recommend Granbury (KGDJ)
