I stopped by Platte Valley to get some fuel yesterday as its the lowest in the region ($3.60/gal for 100LL) and there was a woman in a T-6 giving rides. She sounded about 12 YO on the frequency, but was obviously a very competent pilot and very nice person. A friend of mine said that she travels around the country giving rides. Does anyone know if this is true? I didn't get a chance to talk to her except on the freq for spacing when I left that pattern.

Also saw a flight of three Yak 52's takeoff when I was doing my runup. They are based there and must have been going off to practice some formation flying. I really like those planes. Here's a shot of the "tower" at this little, quaint, non-towered field. A RV-4 is in the backround.

Anthony;
Before anyone else mentions it, join SKYHOG's COnUS Adventure. There's a message under Hangar Talk that explains it. You could be the first at Platte.
T6. A wonderful ride. I took one several years ago. Make it highly recommended.
