I always like these raffles. I get to give to a good cause and dream.

What's that mean? Left hand/right hand, what's the difference?

Thanks for posting this! I'm one of the founders of Vets to Jets and I logged on this morning to post a link.

If you have any questions about the raffle - Hit me up.

Cheers,

Found out raffles are illegal in Alabama (considered gambling) and many other states. FYI

Florida has a cut-out for raffles for 501(c)3 entities. I had to do a fair bit of reading of the Florida statues when I crafted the rules for this thing.

Did you really?

There is actually a great handful of us on this site that have won raffle airplanes, myself included.

No, I just can't find anywhere on the site where it says how or when they will notify the winner...I figure if they guys who runs the program is on here he should post about it.

I've been messaging him but he isn't answering either

Bump here. Only two days left to buy a raffle ticket!

What was the result!? Who won!? I tried calling the flight school where the aircraft is based and they didn't have an answer for me.

Note that you may be giving money to a good cause, but it is not tax deductible. Even a chance to win something is considered a private benefit and nixes the charitable deduction. I got into this with an actual account that was representing our non-profit the other day. The IRS is pretty clear on this.
