I would like to share my welcome to the new pilot in the family, our first grandson, Zachary Nicholas Charlan, born 08-MAR-07. He's 5 weeks early, 3 lbs 7 oz, and struggling with some premie issues. He's in NICU for perhaps 14 days, but the docs are saying he's got a good prognosis, even though he's pretty sick right now. Mom and Dad are doing well.

A few photos - I'll just post links instead of inline images

Greg Congrats to you and your family!

Best wishes for the road ahead, you'll be in my thoughts.

Greg:

Been there, done that, got 12-year-old Tommy to prove they know their stuff in there.

Don't know about you, but it looked to me like the NICU specialists were tending to the parents as much as to the pea-pickers.

Texas-drawling prayers for Zachary!

(edit)

And that is one fine-looking boy you have there. I envy you so much all the joys of watching him grow.

Congrats grandpa! I'm sure he's getting the best of care. Also, he has a great birthdate that he shares with me and Scott's late mother!

Congrats Greg! We will keep Zachary in our prayers for a quick exit from the NICU

w00t! Congrats Greg and family!
