Background: On low-levels meds for hypertension
Situation:
I've been getting headaches for the past several days. It's felt like high BP to me (I have experience), so I checked my BP at home. I got readings around 160/100 on Sunday. It's come down some by now, but the lowest that I got was 145/94.
Went to primary physician (well, her partner - she's on maternity leave). The nurse got 110/100. Since I was not blue, prone, or slight rigid that's probably not a good reading. The doctor read 130/84, and decided not to mess with BP meds. He did note allergy symptoms, so he prescribed Nasacort 55mcg two sprays per nostril once a day through the fall.
I'll be keeping on top of my BP situation before I fly again (the headaches have made me feel too crummy to fly anyway), so no fears there.
Question:
Is Nasacort FAA-approved?
Feel free to chime in with other comments on the BP side if you wish.
