How does it work?
Some say anyone can modify the answers available on it.
If so, how do they know if some jerk doesn't get on there and change the good info to nonsense? Or, if there is a disagreement on a topic - how is it resolved?

You can edit any article, any time. Just click on "edit."

There are volunteer edit Nazis who watch out for bullstuff. Not cite-able reference, but often interesting (at the very least). Abusive stuff gets squashed pretty quickly, most of the time.

I wrote a fair portion of the Wright Amendment article, had to to correct the substantial mis-statements of history a previous (AA-Kool-Aid-drinking) writer had made. Kept it straight, no slant, no editorializing, nearly all survived edit nazis.

I think it is excellant. We were watching Rome on HBO and I got interested in the Roman Empire. Looked it up on Wiki, and wah lah more than I ever wanted to know.
