Final Approach
Nebraska isn't all corn and soybeans anymore...It's becoming a tropical paradise based on what I see growing around here...all of these pictures were taken today in Lincoln, NE...
The picture on the left is a lilac flowering way out of season- like 4 to 5 months out of season.
Picture 2 is a Plumeria or frangipani- native to Mexico and Central America
Image 3 is a young plant I've seen in India- they call it Gulmohar it makes red flowers and a seed pod that looks like something between an tamarind and a mimosa pod. On Hawaii, it was crossed with a similar plant that makes white flowers to get a plant with pink flowers.
Image 4 is a banana plant growing in someone's front yard.
The last photograph is lantana- native to tropical america. In India, some people think of it the same way some people think of kudzu
