In Mex, google insists on coming up on google.mx (spanish) - any work-arounds?

A VPN proxy that has U.S. servers will work. I use them sometimes when I need to appear that I'm in some other locale to check local search results. Or you may be able to set up a VPN to your employer, or even to your home Internet connection with a halfway-decent router. That would have certain advantages.

For example, if you use a commercial VPN proxy service, Google will sense that you're using a proxy server and make you type a CAPTCHA image. You'll also get an annoying alert every time you sign in from a different IP address (although that seems to stop after a while). You also may have trouble accessing some forums and bank sites through a public proxy because they're notoriously used by spammers and scammers. That shouldn't happen if you connect through your own VPN.

Mike; thanks - will compare that price to buying RosettaStone ;)

I was in Cabo last weekend and Google was in English? If it wasn't I surely couldn't have used it!
