I heard this on the radio this morning... Dallas City Council is looking at new fees (increase in water, trash, landfill rates, zoo admission)... and THIS:

And don't crash your car in Dallas if you live in Plano, Arlington or other suburbs: The city manager wants to charge nonresidents hundreds of dollars in fees for emergency services rendered, although the city hasn't yet formalized a fee schedule.

So if you WORK in Dallas but live in Addison, Plano, the mid-cities, Arlington, and get in an accident on your way to work, they'll send you a bill! The radio story quoted a $600-and-up figure.

They're doing this to get $$$ $ from the insurance companies. Which means we ALL pay for it.

They know insurance companies would be obligated unless excluded by the policy. Count on changes in policies in the coming years as a result. Oh, and premiums will STILL go up.
