(FWIW, I made a stop at this airport for a hamburger on the 24th.)

It will be interesting to find out the facts of this accident. Both experienced pilots RIP..
Per the article..

Weather conditions about the time of the crash were 95 percent cloud cover with less than one mile visibility, snowing, with winds 7 mph west-southwest with gusts up to 16 mph. Temperature was 33 degrees.
 
And, report of a 400 foot ceiling (that lake-effect, probably). A downwind takeoff?

That was shortly after taking off with more people than seatbelts and ice all over the tail. This one looks a lot different than that, although there is one common denominator: Both flights were in extremely capable single-engine turboprops that can lure a pilot deep into a weather trap before they come up short on the escape.
