Speaking of helicopters...was the helicopter with our group? I'm pulling together some numbers and didn't know if they just happened to fly in to eat, or if they were with us. Anybody know?

I think someone from our group knows who they are, but not sure that the people in the helicopter have ever been here.

The Hughes 269B helicopter that landed was there for dinner from West Plains, MO. The husband and wife were out cruising when they heard all the radio traffic on Unicom for Gaston's and decided to check out what was going on is what they told me.

They gave me their names, which I promptly forgot, when they got out of the helo. The FAA registry list is as registered to OZARK MOUNTAIN HELICOPTERS LLC
(N469E) .

There were probably a dozen or so planes that weren't "part of the group" that showed up over the weekend, not counting the T-18 fly-bys.

Could very well be, that sounds familiar, but I can't say for sure. The couple talked about staying late for the "group" dinner which would cause them to arrive home after dark and they would have to call someone to come turn the lights on at their landing site. I thought they mentioned "Jim" as the person to call. But its all kinda fuzzy now.

Do you happen to know whether that's me in the Extra? It kinda looks like me (You know, banging my head up against the canopy and all) but I want to be sure.
