Has anyone had a chance to see this movie yet?
Yeah I've got the DVD. Most of the footage / stories I knew about. Good movie though.
I have been a fan of Mr. Hoover for a long time so I actually bought the DVD. I enjoyed watching it. If you get a chance to see it, do it.
Saw it at OSH and Mr. Hoover was there and spoke for about 45 minutes.
Another great movie is "Living in the age of the airplane"
We viewed it at one of our EAA Chapter meetings this summer. Everyone enjoyed it.
It's fairly well done but I didn't like the editing. They chopped it up too much and left out some of his more interesting stories. I've had the pleasure of spending several hours talking to Bob and Jimmy Driscoll his announcer over many a cocktail and never tire of his stories, humor and advice. Got to fly with him in the Shrike and I'll never forget it. Don
