Last year at EAA, I had a chance to talk with CarolAnn Garrett. It is exciting to see her and another pilot attempt to beat the Bonanza "Round the World" record in her Mooney:

I think that fatigue will be a real problem. I have driven from Phoenix to Chicago in 24 hours in an old Ford LTD. Yes, I may have exceeded the speed limit. I was pretty tired after that stretch.
After 140 hours, they are going to be tuckered out. I don't know how much actual rest you can get while droning along in a small plane, even though you are sleeping.
It seems like fatigue might create risk factors that awesome pilots (like you and me) would not normally face. Either way, good luck to you two!

They are doing pretty good, so far. I hope for some pictures from Guam. They say there is weather expected in this segment to Thailand. CarolAnn commented that they are considering an sleep stop in Cape Verde and Djibouti. I think that would be a good idea.
