MK12D Freq Change Switch

Apparently the freq switch is flaky. It will sometimes not change frequencies except for a few numbers. Keep turning and it will eventually get what you want.

Anyone know of a competent shop or can I find the switch for my shop. Or is it the switch?

Bevan Rabell in Wichita works on Narco.

I would try liberally dousing the switch with contact cleaner before replacing it.

Okay, I got a little time to look deeper into the problem. At first I thought it was simply a loose knob. I tightened the knobs and it was better, but still not perfect. The knob that changes digits to the right of the decimal place works well if you apply a little pressure left to right. At least for the short term I have a workaround. This is not my primary radio. It backs up my 430W.

I am going to call the shop in Wichita and see what they say.
