Micco SP26

I found an SP26 on ebay. I has some damage and needs to be rebuilt. They're asking $15.700. I don't know anything about it and was looking for some input.
I'm new on here, and hoping to find some REAL input.

Welcome to PoA, Tom.

It's basically an updated 1948 Meyers 145. They were built in the early to mid 2000s and there weren't very many SP26s which was a 260 hp Lycoming IO-540-T4B5 version of the SP20. Unlike the later Meyers 200s with tricycle gear, it has conventional gear. It's fully aerobatic. It sounds like the one you're interested in will take a lot of time and money to get back in the air, so even at $15.7k it probably isn't a bargain.

I lusted after the Meyers 200 back in the day.
