See how deep your knowledge (or Google-fu) of arcane METAR contractions is:

Code:
KCEF 291755Z 28013KT 1/2SM TSRA SCT020 OVC030 27/22 A2995 RMK TS OHD MOV NE [b]CNTS LGTCGICCCCA ALQDS[/b] SLP136 SLP ESTMD 60013 10287 20219 55003

What does the bolded text mean?

Cheers,

-Andrew

Yup - very good.

I noticed that one when I was checking on a small TSRA line that is marching through the state this afternoon. Caught me off guard, had to really digest that one (and I couldn't get CA so I used my contractions manual, so I cheated).

Cheers,

-Andrew

It means "The sparks are flying".

Stay Clear Perhaps? Thanks for the post, that was a good one that I have never seen before.

How about this one? What is BINOVC?

Possibly BKNOVC which seems like an oxymoron?

I wanna know how he posted an interactive tab-thingy here. That was cool!

An interactive tab-thingy?

Is that a technical term? ;)

He embedded the metar text inside of a CODE tag.

Code tags.

[ code ] Stuff [ / code ]

Which gives you:

Code:
Stuff

Just take the spaces out of the []'s. It automatically decides to scroll, which is great!
