Medical helos collide in AZ

PHI Air Med lost a 407 in Huntsville, TX three weeks ago. Three crew members and a patient died. They had been to our airport for fuel numerous times although they were based at College Station.

During the week after, we saw how a pretty tight-knit group of folks tied together even more. The memorial service had over two-thousand attending from fire, police and other rescue operations around the region. I'm sure it won't be any different in Phoenix.

While I don't know them too well, I know those based at our hangar well enough. I'm glad it wasn't them who were lost.

This sucks.

Classic Lifeguard has gone multiple years (indeed over a decade I believe) without any serious incident, and now this :( I've seen them pull off some spectacular rescue flying in my years at Lake Powell, much of it at night, and never did I observe anything that wasn't done with safety in mind.

I'm calling to see if I know anyone on board. Sucks.
