I have a freind who would like to fly 172s but I told him that he may not pass his physical if he had any seizure activity. Am I correct in this?

Yes. It is grounding. Four years without medication and no recurrence is the standard for certificatin.

His caretaking doc would know and the FAA requires that report. If one finds oneself lying in a pool of urine and groggy, soiled and in public, it tends to get reported to the ER-....then he get his meds restarted because we don't want to tolerate him driving passing out and hurting someone....
