I don't really feel like going outside today.

Although this should mean good weather for the Glideathon!

LOL, probably need to after getting it sandblasted off yesterday. I had a 10 hour student out yesterday morning and wind at pattern altitude was 45 kts.
15G20 on the surface. Good ground reference practice:rofl:

damn you michael and chiming in on weather threads again!

Yeah, the METARs in the lower half of the state were awesome. PL, DZ, IC, FZRA, and my favorite - UP

UP in the Lower Peninsula?

Yeah, last weekend I was driving up Wisconsin's east coast, watching the weather, and saw this:

Hehe have been getting Weathered out the whole month of Feb. Seems everytime I wanted to go fly the WX took a dump. Finally got in 45 minutes of pattern work last tuesday night :)

Isn't Feb/Mar in the upper midwest fun?

Pete

I just returned from the Northern Shore of Lake Superior. Flew out of MSP this morning. Why does anyone live there? Beautiful land for sure, but haven't seen weather fit for man nor beast yet.

My favorite place so far - Beaver Bay - Population 175, but the Northern Lights Restauant has Elk dishes that are out of this world!!!

Mark, you almost made to it far enough up the North Shore to my old area - Grand Marais.

Just made it as far as Tofte - Perhaps I'll get to Grand Marias if I end with some spare time on another trip.

:( Cheer up Ed!! It could be worse. A Co-worker of mine who lives NW of Macon GA. called me about 6:15 PM to tell me he wasn't coming to work tomorrow. His home got nailed by a tornado. He guessed approx. $ 50-60,000 in damages. Luckily, he and his family took refuge in the basementand survived unharmed. They were more blessed than the people in Enterprise AL. A high school got hit by a tornado. 15 dead. My heart goes out to those people.

We're getting a very nasty mix of snow, freezing rain, ice pellets, and wind here in northeast WI.

Where I'm at, the power went out today around noon and isn't supposed to be on again until noon tomorrow, according to the power company. I'm hanging out with friends on their farm and we're running a generator right now. Tonight, off goes the generator... and on goes my blanket pile. I can't remember when (if ever) the power has gone out for more than six hours around here, let alone 24.

$96,000 in damage to my house due to TS. Not this storm, I go nailed before. Sucks having to pay the mortgage on a place you aren't living in.

You got it. They should just forget all that and just put down BOCCOOTS. (Bunch o' crap coming out of the sky!)

Yeah, I can imagine it does suck. I'm going out to my co-workers home later today and assist in the clean-up. Your original post was right,March did come in like a bastard.

I brought my employees to work in this today.

54 people, three at a time.

I've got an 11 foot drift in my driveway. We've been on backup power for two days. I would really like the blizzard to end.
