Malibu down on t/o out of 7FL6

Apparently a Malibu or Meridian took off at Spruce creek on 2/2/23 and shortly after went down onto golf course at the creek. Pilot walked away. Tore the wings and tail off. Lucky dude.

If the pilot walked away, the passenger did not, though they were alive.

the plane is based there. Witnesses said “Didn’t sound right”. Made me think misfuel as well. But if based there unlikely.

Being based there doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

I’ve had a line guy at CPK (where I’m based) twice try to put Jet-A in my Beech 18.

Looks like a piston PA46. Misfueling certainly a possibility.

On another forum someone from Spruce Creek said the pilot rotated very early & basically stalled the plane. I think it got airborne for a short period.
