I just bought some lake front property here in TX. There are basically no restrictions on landing on lakes and reservoirs in this state, with some simple exceptions. I'm planning to get a small EXP seaplane, and making a small seaplane base, for myself, but also for public use.
I have the form from the FAA for new airports, and I have that figured out. I've put most of the info in the form, but I would like to know if anyone has been around private seaplane bases and has some info to share. I have about 130' of shoreline, modestly well protected from wind by trees and a small hill. There is a boat dock about 40' across.
I look forward to working on this project and landing at my house when I ge the plane. I know there isn't much seplane traffic in N TX but maybe I'll see a few once in a while.
