Not many details other than a Mooney is missing. Reportedly it was enroute to Pagosa Springs yesterday and never arrived. CAP is searching.

Rugged part of the state. High winds yesterday but they died down later in the day. Dunno if the high winds were as far south a Pagosa - I think the turbulence airmet covered that area.

Hoping for the best.....

a search TFR is up east of Blanco...maybe they've got an ELT signal or witness?

An M20 from Boulder, CO did go down in NM the other day....Tucumcari area.

That accident site was actually further west, just north of Clines Corners. The Mooney that's missing here reportedly departed Friday evening from Moriarty, NM (0E0) and, apparently, the pilot turned back from Pagosa due to unfavorable landing conditions.

It's been a very bad week around here for M20s flying nighttime VFR into deteriorating weather.
