He said he built it from a kit from Florida; cruises at about 70. We watched him take off but I only had a 24-70mm lens on the body, didn't get in-flight photos.

Oddly, I think I photographed the same guy -- different flying machine -- several years ago, sent him the 35mm slides so he could copy them, and he returned them to me. His name "struck a bell."
