Looking for Ideas around Mid-Atlantic

I have been doing some local flights out of the DC area but are looking for some suggestions.

What are some nice airports and places (close to the airport 5-10miles) to visit for day trips up to 150-250nm from the DC area?

Both Ocean City NJ (about a eight block walk) and Ocean City MD (short cab ride) have the beach/boardwalk accessible to the airport.

Luray Virginia will give you a hop to the caverns.

Air museums at Reading, Dulles, and Richmond.

Tangier Island.

Gettysburg PA - short drive to the battle field
Lauray Caverns VA The caverns
Cape May NJ -Aviation Museum on Field*
Reading PA -aviation Museum on Field*
Williamsburg VA - Colonial Williamsburg

I'm sure there are lots more an * means they have a restaurant on or near the field.

Adding to Adams listing on Williamsburg, VA. There is Busch Gardens close by and a very nice winery tour (Williamsburg Winery) close to the airport at KJGG.

If you do decide on Williamsburg/Busch Gardens I highly recommend Howl-O-Scream, fun time!

Love the air museum at Dulles,check on week end specials on fuel and parking.Ocean city MD one of my favorite beachs and boardwalks also plenty of crab houses in the area.
