My situation:

Own my own plane. Failed instrument check ride for dumb mistakes on practical. Plane recently back from maintenance and needs to go back for avionics in August. So, short time frame to train a bit more. Anyone willing to travel to eastern NC for a bit? Name your price, terms, whatever. I picture 5 days, perhaps 20 hours total, divvy up into two 2 hours flights each day.

Other options were a bit less attractive today. Needed to fly 45 minutes to another airport which had 2000' ceilings, other nearby airports had 600' ceilings. I'm a rules based guy that is not willing to push too far with this kind of stuff. We are also peak T storm system time. I am not willing to put myself stuck overnight away from home/wife. If I don't get this done this month, current situation looks like it will be 2023 before I fly much again.

We host on Airbnb. I've hired in an instructor before so a reference is available.

Thanks.

I'd be all over this if mine were finished, but the timeframes don't match up.

Scott Best is based at JNX south of Raleigh. I did an accelerated instrument with him over the course of a week last October. I have no idea if he's booked up, and when I completed my training he was contemplating going back to his non-aviation gig last winter.

Thanks. I tried to reach out to him a few months ago, his wife said he had switched jobs and had limited time availability.
