Pre-takeoff checklist
In the beginning of February, I'll be spending about 3 weeks with my folks in Calabash, NC, and I'm looking for a CFI to fly with while I'm there. I'd appreciate any recommendations. I think Odell Williamson (60J) and Grand Strand (CRE) are the closest airports. Southport (SUT) and Conway (HYW) also might be doable, but they look like a pretty long drive.
I recently busted the flight portion of my Private Pilot checkride (yeah, embarassing). Only two maneuvers must be repeated, but I was warned that my flying had better be flawless and unassailable for round two. That's fair. I've worked way too hard to let what skills I have erode while I'm visiting the parents, and I'm willing to put in the time to get where I need to be. For what it's worth, all of my training has been in a Cessna 172P and 172M.
