Will entertain trades, prefer Cessna or piper retracs.

Pity, I always thought those were neat little airplanes.

That's an odd move. A liberty is nothing more than a certified Europa. Usually people get into that airframe in the name of reducing operating costs and simplicity of systems (fixed gear/prop) for better cruise performance than the typical C and P spam can. Getting into complex spam cans is getting back in the kabuki of lenghty AD recurring lists and vintage maintenance hassles. Not exactly an economy.

Have you considered RVs or Glasairs?

The liberty is not meeting my current mission, great airplane. Can't beat the economy of operation.

Unless you need a back seat, the Vans RV would be a more economical step up in terms of cost of operation. Depending on where he is flying on his new missions, the Glasairs I, II and III may be too limiting. Maybe the Glasair Sportsman?

You're gonna wanna rethink that price. Unless you run across someone that's a collector or something and just absolutely has to have one. Otherwise there are lots of airplanes that do that same type of mission for far less.

I've found many of the "vintage" aircraft have fewer ADs and mx tends to be less than the new stuff. :dunno:

I'd second the idea of getting a lance or glasair

Got 15 hrs instrument training in an XL. Neat little aircraft although I though the stick was a bit stiff... I'm used to homebuilts.

I didn't get to take the check ride in it because the FADEC broke a couple days prior to check ride and they couldn't find an A&P who could work on it. I would hope there's been a few more A&Ps since then that have experience fixing FADECs.

O.k. then, I'll take $500,000.00 for my C-180 and no one better comment on it. :loco:

I don't know much about these but we've got one at my home airport that just sits. Absolutely gorgeous condition I think it's the finger pull brakes that have got people freaked out about it.

Is this one finger or toe brakes?

I saw your ad to sell a Liberty XL. I was just wondering if the performance you saw came close to matching the book numbers, esp. cruise, fuel consumption, and stall speed. I had a chance to test fly one years ago, and fit comfortably in it. Thanks
