I can believe that. Look at how many accidents on the road, where 4x4 owners fail to realize that they can't stop quickly.

Cars have had four wheel brakes since 1909. Can't stop any faster. Expensive, sometimes fatal lessons.

I was going to ask, how tall is that pine tree sticking out of the snow in the bottom picture of the article? Then I watched the video clip on that web page, where the news anchor mentioned the snow was three feet deep.
