Landing Downwind

There is a skydiving operation at the far end of my airport. The jump plane always takes off on 12 and lands on 30 regardless of the wind.

Skydiving pilots are some of the best, in my experience. They also tend to ignore rules.

Watch the ag planes during busy season. They'll be landing and taking off in whatever direction saves them time.

Yes, and fire is the hottest. It really cools you off.

Jay, I know you watch Fox so I'll spell it out...disregarding rules, by definition, disqualifies you from being among 'the best'.

Ha Ha.....

I saw N176SL and ya know what.... There is NOT a Vote For Oboma bumber sticker on it...:lol::no:

What's up with that.:dunno:

Saw it...I few it and there sure as hell was when I was the skipper!

BTW, what's significant about that tail number?

Is the restaurant still in business there at blue ridge?

I believe it is back in business again but I'm not sure if I have eaten there in it's current incarnation. We pop in there for fuel mostly (they've got a 24 hour pump now) as it's right on the route of flight between CJR and NC26.
