I live in the San Gabriel Valley - Glendora

Currently flying (renting) a 172 and Remos out of CCB Cable.

For now, my primary interest in flying is sunny, VFR days. Boring holes in the sky. $200 hamburgers. So, LSAs are a perfect match to my current mission.

Anyone know of other LSAs in the area I can rent?

The airports within a reasonable drive from me would be CCB, POC, EMT, FUL, CNO

Might be too far, but Whiteman has a Skycatcher (vista).

My plane is at Whiteman...the Skycatcher at Vista Aviation is really nice...not cheap...but a nice little plane.

Flabob has a J-3 and Tecnam once they're fixed, not too far past CNO.

AIA in CNO has a 140 & 150.

There ya go, a J3 or 140 is a perfect VFR fun flying to fly airplane.

With all those mountains, I'd suggest thinking twice.

Around here, there are a few Evektors on the line, and the instructors all hate them due to even modest winds and the resultant very light turbulence. There is one Tecnam shop in Watsonville, but they are very pricey.

If you want something cheap, a 152 will do.

I disagree with the last post. Not all CFIs dislike the Evektors. In fact, several of the CFIs I know enjoy them. I have a few hours in the Evektor in both winds and turbulence. Getting comfortable with the lighter aircraft and wing loading is a process but can be quite fun.

Here is a video taken several months back in an Evektor during Santa Ana winds at KSNA. This plane is on the flight line at Sunrise as previously suggested. This was prior to my certificate and my first "windy" experience. Have fun !
