Just booked Reno -- Anyone Else Going?

After last years horrendous accident, Mary and I feel compelled to show our support for RARA and attend this year. We just booked our flights (yes, the aluminum tube -- ugh) and hotel.

Anyone else going?

I live an hour and half away, so if I do, it will be a day trip (or maybe an overnight if I can get a cheap room at one of the casinos). I will probably decide closer to the time.

I went last year. Walked off the plane as the P-51 went in. I want so badly to go this year but my vacation to Reno last year wiped me out. It's a shame, I kind of want to see the races before they can't get insurance anymore.

Have they changed the course much? I was thinking about going but if they have a setup that isn't viewer friendly I can't see wasting the gas.

I went once in 99' and really enjoyed it. Sadly that year as well a Mustang came apart in flight killing the pilot. Ticket prices are a little steep but considering the assortment of aircraft it's worth it.
