Iphone can't access appleid settings

My MIL called asking why her Iphone x can't open icloud. I couldn't figure out what she was talking about so I went over there.

When she brings up SETTINGS, at the very top is her name and the description of
Apple ID, iCloud, media & purchases.

But it is gray and she can't click on it.

Her husband died last week and his old phone is able to click on it. (so she is in a funk and can't recall all she has done).

The only thing I saw was that she updated to IOS 15.1 recently.

But I can't figure out how to fix it if I can't even click on her name to get to her account.

Any ideas?

Why didn't I think of that?

Actually, that is the first thing I did, but I did it again and found a youtube video that explained it.

Allow Changes --> Allow.
