Ileocecal Valve issues

Hi

Just checking to see what the doctors think of this.

I have a doc who is helping me with Lyme/Babesia issues - she is an LLMD. Some of my symptoms are stumping her - they don't add up.

However, when I saw her yesterday she is leaning towards ileocecal valve issues. In googling it, a lot of the symptoms seem to match what I am going through.

Neck/shoulder pain on right side for over a week
Tenderness in lower right quadrant of abdomen
Bloating in abdomen
Candida issues showed up on recent stool test.
More frequent headaches that seem to have sprung out of nowhere - the past two weeks.
Right hip seems to be clicking when you move it around.
Sinus swelling
I didn't use to have dark circles under the eyes. They are not bad, but I didn't have them before. Now I think I look vaguely fatigued - again, just the past few weeks.
I have gained 5 pounds in the past month and haven't changed my diet or anything. Always have had a very stable weight. Winter can't be helping, but winter inactivity never seemed to change my weight before.

I will be getting a CT scan Monday.

She doesn't think it's my appendix.

Thanks for any thoughts. Just wondering if this is a "normal/usual" medical condition or if her very-holistic tendencies might be over-enthusiastic.

I don't know whether there are any physicians here who are experts on Lyme disease, but I do know that since Bruce Chien left, there no experts on difficult aeromedical certification issues. If you want to know the impact of your medical condition on your aviation medical certification status, I suggest you contact Dr. Chien either on the AOPA Forums or through his web site http://www.aeromedicaldoc.com.

Who certifies a physician as LLMD? Sounds a little suspicious. I would have the most confidence in an experienced Infectious Disease specialist certified by the ABIM.
