IFR Flight in Europe

Can anyone tell me the quickest way to learn the system from UK to Italy?
My boss is scheduling 2 flights a month from SFO.

I'd say start reading up on the ICAO regulations. Then get each states differences from ICAO and study that (a jepp subscription holds all that info). Check your enroute map, maybe you just need UK, France, Italy.
