Snorting his way across the USA
So let's say I just won a hundred buck off the State lottery. Nevermind the fact that I bought $539 worth of tickets to get there, let's just treat it as an honest winning.

I know that $50 will go to the U.S. Government. Mafoo says they will take it out first so there is no point in fighting over it. So it's a $50 winning, really.

I plan on donating $10 to charity (over time.) I mean, buying Starfire a drink at the club counts as charity, right?

I plan on putting aside $30 for interest and dividend earnings. Not really, I'm not that stupid. It's just a tactful way of acnowledging that I blew $30 bucks on a double lap dance from Starfire and Sasha.

So, that leaves me $10. That's not even two gallons of 100LL so there is no point in considering it for an aviation expenditure at this point. Here's the quandry:

1. A Carl's Jr. Low Carb Six Dollar Burger and a side salad for $6.77

2. A Burger King Double Whopper with Cheese (sans bun) and a side salad for $7.23.

3. A McDonald's Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese (sans bun) and a side salad for $7.75.

So what's the segway in to aviation and why are we discussing it in an aviation forum? Because really we are talking about aviation nutrition. What do YOU eat before a long flight?

^^^^^^^Buffet at the Gourmet Citgo within walking distance of Bay Bridge W29. Long flight for Mr. Sac though.

Around here, you have to be a little careful. They may not necessarily be girls.....

You'd better just tip Sasha, or she'll be P-O'd at you.

Nice topic, buy the way!

Carl's Jr. of course.

Still haven't tried that place, but I've filled up the car there plenty of times. All the instructors from Chesapeake Sport Pilot go there between lessons :)

It's actually a gourmet BP, and the Cream of Crab soup is actually good, considering it is Kent (by God) Island, Maryland.

At Capriotti's, you have to at least try The Bobbie if you are a post-thanksgiving dinner fan. To die for, for this fan. :goofy:

Of course if it were in the Cincinnati area it would be a sack of White Castles or a 4-Way and a couple of Cheese Coneys. :)

Cheers

You have to go. I haven't been there in a while but it is (was) really good.

Thank you! But technically I'm not a sir. I ETS'd as an Army Sergeant.

**** at in-and-out you could probably get a shake for that $10 as well :)

If the flight's in the morning: 2 eggs, 3 egg whites, 1 cup of oatmeal, banana, milk, coffee.

Lunch time: Qdoba naked chicken fajita, double meat!

Afternoon: grilled chicken, asparagus, rice, milk.

Those are my go-to's.

Preflight to KHAF:

A can of tuna and a tomato slice wrapped in lettuce. (No, I didn't eat the can itself.)

Lunch at KHAF:

Caesar salad, no croutons, topped w/ local bay shrimp.

If I ate burgers and fries every day, I actually WOULD have to pay Starfire and Sasha dearly to meet my animal needs!!

(Disclaimer: Starfire and Sasha are fictional characters, sort of like the semi-attractive middle aged women that appear on the Cialis commercials along with the pathetic perverted old dudes)

Wait. I thought if you won a small amount "they" don't know about it. Like when you buy a lottery ticket nobody asks for your SSN. The machine just takes your dollar bill and gives you a lottery ticket.

Right?

(Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I don't gamble. Not even when staying in TWO casinos over the course of a week at the Reno Air Races.)

I'm pretty sure when you claim it you do have to give up your SSN but I could be wrong. I suspect "they" (lottery commission) have to account for the cash they give away.

Last time I played and won, it was 50 and the cashier just gave me the $$.

I won $4!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this past weekend. No questions asked. Received money. I am RICH!!!!!! NOT. :(

Then you head West on the I-80 and I'll head East - let's meet up in Davis at the Plainfield Station. You have to drive through some farm roads to get there, it's in the middle of... nothing. But, they have Pabst on tap for $.50 a glass! That's four for me and four for you!

They even have designated parking for Harleys!

$4 won't pay for me to get out of the city in gas. LOL
Not sure I can make it to Cali!

For gambling the reporting amount is, I believe, $1,200 for slots, $1,500 for tables and $600 for the Lottery.

Says one that probably hits up Thunder Valley on the way back from the airport....

I struggle with Thai food. Too much rice. Too little meat and leafy green vegetables.

Plus curry farts are the worst.

Your info says you are not in California though.

I was in CA when I won it. Born and raised in SoCal and lived there for 36 years. I finally got wise and left. You couldn't pay me enough to move back.
