Cowboy - yeehah!
Every year, for the past 5 years I've replaced the wicks in my evap cooler(AC) on the Bonanza. When I did it the first time, I took out the busted up old wrinkled wicks that were mostly mush. When I put the new ones in, I put them in with the narrow end down, and the wide end up(they are shaped like a modified "T" but wider), because that's the way it looked like they came out, and I had no indication which way they go from the instructions. All it says is 'replace periodically when wicks become stale'.

So, I was looking at a commercial evap unit, which uses the same type of wick plates and duh - the wide end where the water flows is supposed to go down, and the narrow end where the air circulates goes up.

I'm betting the cooler will work better next trip. :D:mad2::D:mad2:

Sometimes you just feel dopey.
