What is the general consensus of this house bill? Is it a good idea to regulate the internet?

You know how bad $100 user fees are, SOPA and PIPA are like 1 million times worser than that.

This is VERY bad, what you are witnessing is one of the most blatant cases of money from corporations and huge interest groups buying you bad legislation, MPAA et. al can't seem to figure out how to operate with the times that are a changin' so they're buying politicians to pass some really really bad stuff. DMCA is bad and implemented even worse, this is infinitely worse than the DMCA. Any politician's name associated with this shouldn't only not be re-elected but forced into exile.

What part of it are you wondering about? It's pretty much bad from top to bottom, needs to be killed, sponsors hung and no mention of it ever again.

Even the lovely rep that is co-sponsoring this Bill could be criminally prosecuted under it.
